Introduction
Magnus is a new Australian telehealth practice in men's health, and we're seeking an AHPRA-registered doctor to join our founding clinical team.
This is a flexible, fully remote role giving men across Australia access to hormone and testosterone optimisation, weight management, sexual health, performance and recovery, and peptide therapy. We partner with licensed Australian compounding pharmacies, and every treatment sits behind a genuine clinical assessment, with peptides used as one evidence-informed option, where clinically appropriate.
We're looking for clinically confident, patient-centred doctors who are comfortable in a modern digital-health environment and interested in personalised, preventive, evidence-informed care.
The role
This is a prescribing and clinical review role, with the front-end work done before a patient reaches you. Our nurse handles intake, history, symptom and goal documentation, initial screening, and baseline pathology, so patients arrive with their history and baseline investigations already in place.
You conduct each patient's initial consultation in real time, interpret the pathology, decide clinical eligibility, and make an independent prescribing decision within the clinic's formulary. What you prescribe is set by your clinical judgement, never by commercial target, and if you're not comfortable with a compound, you flag it out of scope, and that's the end of it. Once you've consulted a patient in real time, established follow-ups can be handled asynchronously, within our governance protocols.
As a Magnus doctor, you'll:
- Conduct telehealth consultations and develop personalised treatment plans
- Make independent prescribing decisions within your scope and our formulary initiation, optimisation and ongoing monitoring
- Request and interpret pathology where clinically appropriate
- Own patients over time: follow-up reviews, dose adjustments, repeat pathology where indicated, discontinuation when treatment is no longer appropriate, and escalation when telehealth isn't the right modality
- Keep thorough clinical notes and coordinate with our nursing and clinical team for safe, joined-up care
- Help refine the protocols and clinical standards as the practice grows
What you'll need
- Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner, with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands
- Valid S4 prescribing rights in Australia
- Professional indemnity insurance appropriate to your scope of practice
- Active ABN
- A private, distraction-free consulting environment suitable for telehealth
Preferred but not essential
- Previous telehealth experience
- A background in men's health, hormone and metabolic health, weight management, sexual health or preventive medicine
- Familiarity with compounded medicines and compounding-pharmacy workflows
- Formal peptide or regenerative-medicine training, or a genuine interest in the field
- Experience in a private clinic, virtual clinic or patient-support model
