The Role
CMS Engineering is seeking a qualified, motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team and help keep our clients’ critical systems operating safely, efficiently and reliably.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out service calls, repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance across a range of commercial HVAC and mechanical building services systems. Working closely with our Service Managers and Coordinators, clients, and site teams, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out service calls, repairs, breakdowns and preventative maintenance across a range of commercial sites
Fault finding and diagnosing HVAC and mechanical issues, then getting them sorted
Completing digital service reports and required safety documentation accurately and efficiently
Building strong relationships with clients and delivering a high level of customer service
Identifying opportunities for additional maintenance, repairs and improvement works
Supporting and mentoring apprentices as they develop their skills
Keeping in touch with our Service Coordinators throughout the day on job progress and completion
Working safely, identifying hazards and looking out for yourself and your teammates
Completing work in line with company procedures and relevant industry standards
Participating in the on-call roster as required
Your Skills, Experience & Attributes
Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (essential)
Restricted Electrical Licence (essential)
Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Full working rights in Australia (essential)
Current White Card (preferred)
Previous experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
