THE ROLE
The Principal Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning and implementing contracts for the management of Homes Victoria housing assets that are placed with community housing organisations under long term management. The role leads and negotiates complex agreements that deliver value to Homes Victoria and ensures community housing organisations understand the ongoing requirements they must meet and reporting outcomes they must deliver over the life of the contract. In addition, the role is required to oversee reporting on the delivery of dwelling contributions that community housing organisations are contracted to deliver by specific due dates and in accordance with design and quality standards established by Homes Victoria.
The role will require a dynamic and flexible candidate, capable of managing multiple and competing priorities. The role will contribute to developing a strong and collaborative team culture within the Leasing and Placements Unit and across Homes Victoria.
The Community Housing Placement Program team is responsible for allocating up to 2,200 new Big Housing Build owned dwellings with the community housing sector. This role is critical to provide appropriate execution of this task within timelines and with the appropriate oversight.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead a dynamic team, offering support and growth opportunities to enable a high performing team.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of the Community Housing Placement Program in: preparing and executing programs with scope, timeline and budget parameters; preparing and managing tender and evaluation processes; leading negotiations with successful proponents and the execution of contractual documents.
- Provide strategic leadership to the management and delivery of unit submissions, briefings and responses to corporate and government requirements, including business planning, performance monitoring and reporting, risk management and finance and resource management in line with departmental and divisional priorities.
