We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tilt-Tray Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis for a minimum of 3 months. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles, machinery, equipment, containers, and other freight throughout Alice Springs and remote NT.
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and ensuring all transport tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company tilt-tray trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles, machinery, containers, and general freight.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Complete transport documentation and delivery records accurately.
- Adhere to all road transport, fatigue management, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Assist with recovery and transport operations when required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Current HR, HC or MC Driver’s Licence (as applicable).
- Proven tilt-tray truck driving experience.
- Strong understanding of load restraint and transport safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- Machinery operation experience (desirable but not essential).
- Clean driving record.
