About the Role
As Program Manager, you’ll hold accountability for the success and performance of services across a designated region at UnitingSA. You’ll lead a team of Senior Practitioners, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery while driving performance against funding and contractual outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Leading and developing staff
- Strengthening stakeholder relationships
- Driving continuous improvement and service excellence
Key Responsibilities
- The Program Manager drives operational performance across multiple sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality services aligned to KPIs.
- The role leads and develops Senior Practitioners through coaching, supervision, and workforce planning, while building strong stakeholder partnerships with SA Health, NDIS, and other community providers.
- Working collaboratively across the Mental Health Services Leadership team, the role ensures aligned, integrated service delivery.
- It also oversees performance reporting, continuous improvement, and governance, ensuring delivery of best-practice, recovery-oriented care.
About You
You are a values-driven leader with strong operational and people management capability. You thrive in complex service environments and have a genuine commitment to improving mental health outcomes.
You will bring:
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related discipline
- Leadership or management qualifications (desirable)
- Significant leadership experience in mental health or community services
- Proven ability to manage performance across multiple teams or sites
- Experience working with NDIS, health, housing or aged care systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Outcome and impact driven mindset, with experience in KPI monitoring and reporting
Essential requirements:
- Current SA Driver’s Licence
- DHS Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
