Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a 115 bed Private hospital located in North Turramurra set on the edge of the beautiful Ku-ring-gai National Park, Lady Davidson specialising in orthopaedics, cancer/oncology and neuro-spinal rehabilitation.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable Support Services Assistant to work across both our Housekeeping and Food Services team at Lady Davidson Private Hospital initially on a casual basis.
This cross-functional role will provide operational support during annual leave, unplanned leave and peak periods. This position offers consistent casual shifts across two departments, providing greater stability than single-shift casual roles. Shift times are flexible both weekdays and weekends. On-site training will be provided.
It would be beneficial if you have some previous experience working within a hospital as this role will be responsible for ensuring the highest cleaning standards and therefore an understanding of the cleaning nuances of working within this unique environment would be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities:
Housekeeping
Providing a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital
Cleaning wards and public areas
Waste and linen management
Food Service Assistant
Basic food preparation assistance
Kitchen cleaning and sanitising
Assisting with meal service processes
About you:
Punctual, reliable and with a commitment to providing the best possible hygiene standards and customer service
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
Attention to detail and quality standards
Respectful, professional and mindful of patient dignity and privacy
Clear, professional communication, demonstrating experience in interacting thoughtfully with patients, customers, and internal teams.

Comfortable working independently without supervision and as part of a small friendly team

Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends

Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage tasks efficiently

Previous experience in healthcare, hospitality, cleaning and/or food service is highly regarded

A strong understanding of WHS safety and hygiene standards.
