Role Title: Key Account Executive
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Hours: Full-time, Hybrid working
Reporting to: PSR Director
We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Executive to join our Pet Specialty Retail (PSR) division. Reporting directly to the PSR Director, you will be the backbone of our commercial operations across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Our Key Account Managers (KAMs) are busy driving growth and managing major customer relationships. In this role, you will be their critical support partner—managing functional communications and planning, operational expenditure control, rebate validation and invoicing. By maintaining strong process compliance and financial discipline; you will play a direct role in keeping our customer activity moving smoothly while freeing up the team to focus on strategic execution
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of trade expenditure rebate claims and ad hoc customer invoices.
- Conduct rigorous claim validation, invoice coordination, and stakeholder follow-ups to maintain strong financial discipline.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Customer Service, and Customer Marketing teams to improve the visibility, control, and accuracy of trade spend processing across ANZ.
- Act as a proactive force multiplier for time-poor Key Account Managers, managing administrative roadblocks so they can focus on account management and commercial growth.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze data to deliver clear reports on trade spend and claims activities.
Your experience and passion:
- 2 years’ experience in sales administration, finance administration, trade spend processing, accounts receivable, or a commercial support/operations role.
- An understanding of rebate claims, invoices, deductions, credits, accruals, trading terms, and promotional funding processes (highly preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data, customer documentation, and compliance approval workflows.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel capability (reporting, formulas, data manipulation) alongside an interest or familiarity with leveraging modern digital tools (including AI) to drive administrative efficiency.
- Superb organization and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to follow up on outstanding items and manage multiple priorities across ANZ.
- A Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Finance, or a similar field is highly regarded but not essential
