Lidcombe Area | 5 Days Per Week | Plenty of Hours Available
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join our pallet yard near Lidcombe.

This is a physical, hands-on role. A large part of the job involves repairing timber pallets, so you need to be comfortable working with tools and doing repetitive physical work throughout the day.
You will also be regularly operating a forklift, so we need someone who is genuinely experienced and confident on a forklift — not simply someone who holds a licence.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day will include:
- Repairing timber pallets
- Using a nail gun, reciprocating saw and other hand/power tools
- Removing and replacing damaged pallet boards
- Sorting pallets by type and condition
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Moving and stacking large quantities of pallets by forklift
- Organising stock throughout the yard
- General yard duties and keeping the workplace organised
Forklift Experience Is Important
We need someone who can confidently operate a forklift in a busy pallet yard.
You will regularly be:
- Moving large stacks of pallets
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Sorting stock into different areas
- Manoeuvring around trucks, pallets and other equipment
You must already be a confident forklift operator.
We are not looking for someone who has recently received their licence but has very little practical experience.
The Person We're Looking For
More than anything, we want someone who is reliable and wants to work.
You should be someone who:
- Turns up 5 days a week
- Is punctual and ready to work on time
- Is physically capable of doing hands-on work throughout the day
- Is comfortable using a nail gun, reciprocating saw and similar tools
- Has a strong work ethic
- Doesn't mind getting dirty and working outdoors
- Is willing to work longer days when required
- Wants consistent work and plenty of hours
- Can work independently without needing to be constantly supervised
- Finishes one task and looks for what needs to be done next
Essential Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence
- Strong practical forklift experience
- Comfortable using power tools
- Physically fit enough for pallet repair and yard work
- Reliable transport to our yard near Lidcombe
- Available to work Monday to Friday
Highly Regarded
A MR or HR truck licence would be a big advantage and may provide opportunities to assist with deliveries and collections when required, but it is not essential.
