We are seeking a motivated and analytical Production Data Analyst to join our Operations team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week).
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming production, inventory, and operational data into meaningful insights that support informed business decisions. Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations stakeholders, you will help identify trends, improve processes, and drive operational efficiencies across the business.

About the role:
As the Production Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging operational execution with data-driven decision-making. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams, you will:
- Managing the end-to-end work order process, including generating, scheduling, reviewing, monitoring, and closing work orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with production requirements.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide insights into workshop efficiency, labour utilisation, material consumption, inventory performance, and order progress.
- Analysing production and inventory data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities that support improved operational performance.
- Support purchasing and supply chain activities by analysing demand patterns, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and reorder requirements.
- Apply forecasting and predictive analytics techniques to anticipate production workloads, material requirements, demand trends, and potential operational constraints.
- Identify production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving and data analysis methodologies.
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of production and inventory data within ERP and reporting systems.
- Establish and support data collection, validation, and governance processes to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve data quality, optimise business processes, and support informed decision-making.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights and recommendations that support operational and strategic business objectives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous learning across the business.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree qualification, or current studies, in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Product Data Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or a similar platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms.
- Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and automation.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- The ability to analyse and interpret production, inventory, and operational data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and reporting.
- An understanding of manufacturing, production, inventory management, procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
