We deliver statewide, system level HR-related projects, managing initiatives from strategic planning and needs assessment through to implementation and evaluation. We ensure all projects align with legislation, HR priorities, and organisational goals, defining clear scope, objectives, and deliverables while managing resources, timelines, and risks.
What you'll do:
The role of the Senior Project Officer is to undertake activities, tasks and provide expertise in the achievement of human resource related project objectives and outcomes through the application of effective project methodologies that contribute to the achievement of Queensland Health's organisational goals.
About you:
Foundational HR knowledge is preferred for this position. Applicants with demonstrated HR experience and involvement in HR-focused projects will be highly regarded. As this is a people-focused role, experience solely in ICT or infrastructure projects is not considered sufficient for meeting the requirements of the role.
You will have:
High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and proven ability in consultation, liaison and negotiation with team members, government and non-government service providers and clients, and the ability to communicate complex organisational issues and prepare comprehensive correspondence, submissions, project documentation and reports.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team setting to contribute to deliver outputs and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments.
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary human resource practices, environments and principles.

High-level communication skills are required, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with internal teams, government and non-government stakeholders, and to prepare clear, comprehensive written materials such as reports, submissions and project documentation.
Your current CV, including two referees who have a thorough knowledge of your capabilities, work performance and conduct within the previous two years. It is preferable to include your current, immediate or past supervisor.
