To deliver on this new and exciting work, we are seeking skilled trades individuals to undertake short-term, world-leading training in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S.

Placements are available in October 2026 and will be approximately 6 months in duration.
Please note: this deployment will need to be undertaken on a solo basis.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist you will:
- Monitor, coordinate and support compliance reviews for the non‑nuclear material program
- Assist with analysis of receipt inspection processes and procedures
- Review and analyse deficiency and failure reports
- Research technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, specifications and standards
- Coordinate planning, execution and maintenance of the material program
- Develop and coordinate instructions to prevent issues or bottlenecks in receipt inspections
- Monitor and support resolution of maintenance and engineering issues
- Liaise with NAVSEA, NAVSUP and DCMA stakeholders
- Support development and improvement of material processes, procedures and training
- Participate in meetings, telecoms and working groups as required
- Assess vendors using PDREP and support material procurement processes
- Assist with inspection methods, process control and quality measures
- Prepare, review and update NAVSEA and Shipyard instructions
- Support audits and disseminate changes to ensure compliance and alignment
The successful applicant must possess:
Senior level knowledge of Quality Assurance documents and procedures involved in the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of Naval Submarines
During deployment, you will receive on the job training combined with instructor led classroom training. This training program and work is carried out in accordance with company and US Navy processes and procedures.
At the completion of your deployment, you will return to Western Australia (WA) to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarines at HMAS Stirling.
Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.
Due to the shorter duration of the overseas training, family relocation support is not available, and deployment will need to be undertaken on a solo basis.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
