THE ROLE
The Case Manager undertakes assigned tasks to support the delivery of the Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS) case management approach that includes receiving and reviewing allegations of child abuse and child-related misconduct, assessing entity capacity to undertake investigations, monitoring entity investigations, reviewing entity investigation reports and recommending improvements following an investigation.
The Case Manager will undertake assigned tasks aimed at progressing reportable conduct notifications, oversight and investigations in a fair and expeditious fashion in a way that prioritises the safety of children. The Case Manager will report to the Team Leader, identifying and escalating complex and high-risk matters as required.
At times this position requires engagement with challenging and confronting subject matter. This role will best suit a candidate who is resilient, empathetic, a team player and able to work in a fast- paced environment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of RCS cases, and/or supporting more senior staff to manage a caseload. This includes receiving notifications, monitoring case progress, informing other agencies as required (e.g. other regulatory agencies, police, etc.), providing oversight and quality assurance of the investigative process, reviewing investigation outcomes and investigation reports and recommending regulatory intervention.
- Supporting the Team Leader and Senior Case Managers by maintaining a focus on actively identifying, analysing, reviewing and responding to emerging issues and areas of risk
- Assisting the team in maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders in order to facilitate effective implementation of the compliance framework
