Shift: Afternoon (2:00pm - 10:00pm), Night (10:00pm - 6:00am).
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our operations team, you will:
- Manufacture nonwoven products to specification while maximising equipment performance
- Monitor and adjust production settings to achieve optimal output and quality
- Lead, coach, and develop team members on the production line
- Supervise end-of-line operators and step in for the Shift Supervisor when needed
- Perform product changeovers (weight, width, thickness) efficiently
- Conduct and record quality checks, ensuring all products meet standards
- Maintain accurate production records, samples, and specifications
- Carry out minor maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly
- Champion safety, applying lockout procedures and identifying hazards
- Report incidents and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across shifts to ensure seamless operations
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who is:
- Committed to safety, quality, and following procedures
- Comfortable working shifts (day, afternoon, night) and working overtime where required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of fibres or nonwoven processes is a plus! (desirable)
- A strong communicator with solid literacy and numeracy skills
- A natural leader who enjoys mentoring others and sharing knowledge
- Accountable and decisive, with a proactive mindset
- Adaptable, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement
