Raine & Horne Essendon is seeking a motivated Part-Time Property Management Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to begin or further develop a career in residential property management while maintaining part-time working hours. Based in our Essendon office, you will support our experienced property management team with inspections, maintenance coordination, tenancy administration and client enquiries.
You will receive practical, hands-on training in a supportive environment, with responsibilities tailored to your experience and agreed working days. The role may suit someone studying, returning to the workforce or seeking greater work–life balance.
Position details
- Part-time, with working days and hours to be agreed
- Office-based in Essendon, with local travel for property inspections
- Additional hours may occasionally be available by mutual agreement
- Potential to develop into a larger or full-time role as your experience grows
Key responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the management of a residential property portfolio
- Conducting routine property inspections and preparing clear reports
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs with tenants, landlords and tradespeople
- Responding professionally to enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Preparing lease agreements, tenancy documents and general correspondence
- Assisting with rental payment records, bond lodgements and database updates
- Processing tenancy applications, references and verification checks
- Following up outstanding matters and providing clear handover notes to ensure continuity across non-working days
- Completing general administrative tasks and supporting the wider office team
- Helping deliver responsive, professional service to landlords and tenants
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A genuine interest in real estate and property management
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise tasks within part-time working hours
- Confidence using computers and Microsoft Office applications
- A professional, reliable and team-oriented approach
- A valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport for inspections
Previous experience in real estate, property management, customer service or administration would be an advantage but is not essential. Familiarity with Victorian residential tenancy requirements would also be beneficial.
