This temporary 18-month opportunity is based within the Speech Pathology Department at John Hunter Hospital, providing high-quality speech pathology services to adult inpatients across a range of clinical areas. You'll gain exposure to acute and subacute presentations in medical, surgical and critical care settings, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical experience and strengthen your expertise.
The Speech Pathology Department is recognised for delivering innovative, evidence-based care and has a strong reputation for involvement in adult speech pathology research and clinical advancement. About the role:
As a Speech Pathologist, you'll work closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to assess, manage and support adults with communication and swallowing disorders. No two days are the same, with opportunities to work across a broad range of clinical presentations and contribute to patient-centred care in a fast-paced tertiary hospital environment.
This position is a temporary 18-month role, providing backfill for staff on leave and secondment. Participation in weekend and rostered services may be required.

Requirements:
Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Please upload a copy of your qualification/s with your CV.
