Salary - $77,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Manager to lead a busy café and fresh food retail outlet. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of daily store operations, including staff leadership, customer service, sales performance, stock control, merchandising and operational standards, while ensuring the business consistently delivers quality products and an excellent customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficient, profitable and customer-focused performance.
· Lead, supervise, train and support retail team members to maintain high standards of service and productivity.
· Monitor sales performance, operating costs and key performance indicators, implementing strategies to achieve business targets.
· Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, stock takes and inventory control to ensure product availability and minimise wastage.
· Develop and implement purchasing and promotional strategies in consultation with relevant suppliers and management.
· Ensure food, beverages and other products are attractively displayed and presented in accordance with business standards.
· Maintain high standards of customer service and professionally respond to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints.
· Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
· Oversee cash handling, end-of-day reconciliations and relevant store reporting.
· Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety food safety, hygiene and company operating procedures.
· Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of retail employees.
· Liaise with suppliers and relevant representatives regarding stock availability, deliveries, pricing and promotional activities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma of Retail Management, Business or a related discipline or higher qualification (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year relevant experience as a Retail Manager, or in a comparable retail management role.
· Previous experience within a busy café, food retail or quick-service environment would be highly regarded.
· Sound leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
· Experience in stock control, merchandising and day-to-day retail operations.
· Sound understanding of sales targets, costs and key performance indicators.
· Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
