The Role
We are looking for a
Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in Mentone. As Patties Food Group continues to grow as a diversified, multi-site and multi-brand food business, this role will play an important part in supporting profitable growth and driving business performance across the Group.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Category and Finance to turn financial and operational data into meaningful commercial insights. Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Coordinate and prepare month-end reporting, variance analysis and business performance insights
- Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, partnering with stakeholders to develop robust and achievable plans.
- Partner with cross-functional category teams, providing financial analysis and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage and analyse trade spend to provide clear visibility of investment, and support effective commercial decision-making.
- Provide financial and commercial support to Sales, Marketing and Operations, including commercial evaluations for new product development and other business initiatives.
- Partner with Finance and IT to enhance reporting tools, systems and processes, driving greater automation and efficiency across finance reporting and analytics.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group and help drive accountability for financial outcomes.
The Person
You’re an analytical and commercially curious finance professional who can translate numbers into practical business insights. You’re comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels of an organisation and enjoy collaborating across functions to solve problems and drive performance. You’ll bring:
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Analytics or a related discipline.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with an understanding of the connection between financial results and operational performance.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and work with business intelligence, planning and reporting systems.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across Finance and the broader business.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
- An interest in systems, reporting automation and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear and actionable insights.
Experience with TM1, Blueshift, ThoughtSpot or similar planning and business intelligence platforms will be highly regarded.
