Formwork Carpenter
Astern Group are looking for competent and skilled formwork Carpenter.

About us:
Astern Group is a civil construction company that completes multiple projects using its broad range of skills and labour, machinery and equipment, management and knowledge of the industry specifications, standards and OHS regulations.
About you:
With large civil infrastructure projects being our main concern, we would prefer someone with this background to hit the ground running. You must have at least 3+ years’ experience, within this type of setting.
Our projects currently range from Point Cook to Clayton with projects further afield in the works, so a current and valid open driver’s license (or equivalent) is a must as well as access to a car. You'll handle everything from setting up formwork to general carpentry tasks.
We appreciate having a good and safe working culture so are also looking for someone who aligns with those values.
Minimum requirements
- 3+ years’ experience, preferably in civil work
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) must be held before commencing work.
- Professional, reliable, and communicative
- License and access to a reliable vehicle
- High commitment to safety and safe working
- Form/falsework experience
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Highly Regarded
- Experience and competencies for working in the rail corridor (e.g., valid RIW Card)
- Relevant tickets (RIW, EWP, telehandler, Dogman, basic rigging) are a strong advantage.
