As a Community Recovery Advisor, you will:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of regional preparedness and response capability, including the delivery of training and facilitation/participation in exercises, secretariat support to the district disaster community recovery committee/s and maintenance of community recovery resources.
Promote active partnerships between departmental representatives on the Human Social Recovery Committee (HSRC), Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) and District Disaster Management Group (DDMG) and regional networks, management committees and local authorities to develop appropriate community recovery services.
Contribute to the development and implementation of regional community recovery strategic and operational (event specific) plans.
Assist in coordinating the management and delivery of community recovery services in response to disasters.
Support the department's strategic and operational responses to issues identified by the leadership team and key disaster management stakeholders.
Support internal business processes relating to human and social recovery activities through effective governance systems and strengthened business practices.
Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the department; and
Other tasks as designated.
