Where you'll be working
The Wardspersons Department is located in the basement of NBH where you will begin your shift and given a set of tasks, however one day is never the same!
What you'll be doing
As a Wardsperson you will be deployed throughout the hospital to provide non-clinical support to the nursing team including patient lifting, patient transportation, restocking supplies, collection & delivery of equipment & specimens. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of equipment to meet infection control requirements, delivering effective internal courier services, whilst providing outstanding customer experience and ensure quality of service. you will be required to provide transportation of patients in beds, trolleys and wheelchairs in a safe manner treating all with respect and dignity at all times.
You will need to be available to fulfil a mix of shift times and days (Monday to Sunday), including:
0700–1530
1500–2330
2300–0730

Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.

Ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Capacity to work under supervision and/or independently and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective team member.

Must be able to fulfil the physical requirements of the position.
