About the role
The Functions, Events & Guest Experience Manager is responsible for driving functions and events revenue while ensuring an exceptional and consistent guest experience across Comuna Cantina. The role combines sales, event coordination, guest engagement, reputation management and service quality, working closely with Venue Managers, Restaurant Managers, kitchen teams and the broader operations team.
Key responsibilities:
Manage incoming function, group booking and event enquiries across Comuna Cantina
Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally, understanding client requirements including occasion, guest numbers, budget, food, beverage and entertainment
Prepare function proposals, packages and tailored event options
Conduct venue inspections and meetings with prospective clients where required
Follow up enquiries and actively work to convert leads into confirmed bookings
Develop relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, local businesses and repeat function customers
Drive functions and events revenue and work towards agreed sales and conversion targets
Coordinate all requirements between the client and venue prior to the event, including menus, beverage packages, dietary requirements, timings, layouts and special requests
Monitor guest feedback across relevant channels and coordinate responses to guest complaints
Review and continuously improve the guest experience from reservation through departure and post-visit engagement
About you:
Experience in event coordination, functions management, or hospitality sales
Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to convert leads into confirmed bookings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple events and enquiries simultaneously
Proficiency in managing guest feedback and complaint resolution
Experience with reservation systems and event management tools
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams including kitchen, restaurant and operations
Strong organisational and attention to detail
