We are seeking a dedicated and professional Housekeeper to join a private family residence in the prestigious suburbs of both Burwood and Cabarita, Sydney. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability and the opportunity to work in a luxurious, serene environment. The ideal candidate will be highly discreet, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the residence, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all areas to impeccable standards
- Manage laundry and ironing, ensuring all clothing and linens are handled with care
- Organise and maintain household supplies, pantries, and storage areas
- Assist with meal preparation, coffee's, drinks, grocery shopping, and running errands as needed
- Oversee the upkeep of indoor and outdoor spaces, including coordinating with external service providers (ie gardeners or maintenance teams)
- Handle special projects or events, such as preparing for guests or family gatherings
- Ensure the home operates smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar domestic role, preferably in high-end private residences or luxury hotels
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating needs
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Absolute integrity, trustworthiness, and a commitment to confidentiality – these are non-negotiable as you will be working closely with the family
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Flexibility to work standard full-time hours
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver's license and own reliable transport preferred, given the location in Cabarita
