Independence Australia Group (IAG) is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our National Sales team and take ownership of new customer acquisition across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
This is a true new business sales role. You’ll be responsible for identifying untapped markets, prospecting new organisations, building relationships with senior decision-makers and converting opportunities into profitable, sustainable B2B revenue.
You’ll be selling a market-leading portfolio of continence, wound care and healthcare products to organisations supporting people with disability, older Australians and people with other personal care needs.
What you’ll be doing
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across Qld Should we specify it is Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Otherwise they may think it is a role with extensive travel?
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve new business targets.
- Research emerging market segments, organisations and key decision-makers.
- Build trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, industry stakeholders and supply partners.
- Identify new product distribution channels and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and deliver compelling customer presentations and sales proposals.
- Work closely with existing accounts to identify and unlock growth opportunities.
- Manage a small territory.
About you
You’re a confident, proactive and commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and winning new business.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in Business Development or 5+ years’ Account Management experience.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business.
- Strong B2B sales and business development experience, ideally involving face-to-face solution selling.
- Strong knowledge or experience within the NDIS, community, residential aged care or health sectors.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify genuine customer needs.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative national team.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to travel as required.
Experience or knowledge in continence, wound care, healthcare, pharmaceutical, FMCG, direct B2C or B2B solution sales will be highly regarded.
A relevant qualification in health, health science, sales, marketing or a related discipline is also desirable.
