CAD Drafter / Sheet Metal Detailer | Metroll Perth
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter / Sheet Metal Detailer to join our metal fabrication team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in both drafting and estimating, who can produce accurate technical and production drawings and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
About the role
In this role, you will prepare detailed CAD drawings for sheet metal projects, interpret technical specifications, and support production teams with precise documentation. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure all work meets quality and deadline requirements.
Key responsibilities

Prepare technical and production drawings using CAD software

Interpret and detail drawings accurately for fabrication

Support estimating and project planning activities

Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders

Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

Maintain accurate documentation and version control
What we’re looking for

Minimum 2 years’ CAD drafting experience, preferably in sheet metal or metal fabrication

Experience in both estimating and drafting is highly desirable

Proficient in CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

Well-developed time management and organisational skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with multiple stakeholders
