Job Description
Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar is named for its roof ‘branches’ reminiscent of a deer’s antlers, our intimate space offers a haven of comfortable seating, a selection of boutique beers, cocktails, and quality wines, as well as impressive tapas menu. We are looking for an enthusiastic superstar to join our team!
We are looking for someone who is passionate and represents our service philosophy. They must be open to being able to adapt their skills and in creating great experiences, all of this underpinned by being a true Heartist.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a high volume venue, and a passion for people and service/experiences. They must be able to multitask at a high level whilst developing individual team members and the team as a whole. You will also have a hands-on management style and flexible work ethic.
As Sixteen Antlers Bar Supervisor you will:
Ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided to all visitors.
Liaise with the Food & Beverage teams to ensure venue standards are upheld.
Set up procedures to protect and maintain bar service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry out regular stocktaking.
Maintain effective communication with the team in regards to upcoming events and venue requirements. Eg, weekly meetings with management team and kitchen brigade.
Ensure all mise-en-place is completed prior to visitor’s arrival.
Set up, pack down and coordination of events on the day when required
Proactively creating unique experiences tailored to the Visitors, Clients and Guests
Handle any escalated visitor complaints to a positive outcome.
Be knowledgeable of and operate within the outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
Qualifications
Demonstrated success in a similar role
Superior people management abilities
Advanced knowledge of beer, wine & spirits
Operational experience with Shiji an advantage
A drive to succeed
Strong time management skills & highly attuned organisational skills
Flexible & focused, with an understanding of a busy bar operation
A genuine passion and motivation for the hospitality industry.
A valid RSA
