About the Role
Sydney Seaplane Lounge is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our premium waterfront venue.
This is a hands-on management position requiring strong leadership, operational expertise, and excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant floor operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Lead, supervise, train and mentor the front-of-house team.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters.
- Monitor labour costs and assist with wage control.
- Complete weekly operational and performance reports.
- Manage POS systems and back-office administration.
- Assist with menu planning and implementation in collaboration with the kitchen team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate stock control and ordering.
- Assist with marketing follow-up and promotional activities.
- Provide support with event coordination and function operations.
- Maintain high service standards and contribute to the ongoing success of the venue.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar hospitality management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant administration.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Current RSA Certificate.
- Previous experience managing high-volume hospitality venues is highly regarded.
