At Service Stream, we deliver essential services that keep communities connected and operating efficiently. We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and Systems & Materials Reconciliation Analyst to join our Planning & Systems team.
This is a critical role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of inventory and material tracking systems across the business. Working with high-volume data, you’ll support key reconciliation processes and collaborate closely with both operational and IT teams to drive improvements. Your insights will play an important role in reducing risk, increasing visibility, and enabling smarter, data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based in our Collins Street office, with flexible hybrid working arrangements in place.

Perform accurate reconciliation of client-issued and company materials, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner

Support and coordinate stocktake and cycle counts to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records

Investigate stock discrepancies and variances by analysing data, identifying root causes, and working with stakeholders to implement solution

Analyse high-volume data across multiple systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement

Maintain, support, and enhance material tracking systems in collaboration with IT and operational teams

Proactively identify and implement process and system improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and control

Prepare clear and insightful reports on inventory levels, usage patterns, and system performance for internal stakeholders

Ensure all documentation, processes, and procedures are accurate, standardised, and compliant with internal and external requirements
What you’ll bring

Experience in inventory reconciliation, data analysis, or similar roles

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets

Experience working with SAP or similar inventory systems (highly regarded)

Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability

Background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or Business

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy

Experience in Defence, Telco, Transport or Utilities is highly regarded.
Qualifications

Tertiary qualification with an emphasis in business, manufacturing, or equivalent, is desired

Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Sound knowledge of Quality standards and systems
