As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing project workflow, communication, scheduling, and documentation across multiple departments. You will work closely with clients, designers, estimators, factory teams, suppliers, and installers to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Manage joinery projects from approval through to completion
Coordinate workflow between design, estimating, production, procurement, delivery, and installation
Monitor project timelines and key milestones
Ensure projects are progressing according to schedule
Follow up on delays, outstanding items, and variations
Client & Team Communication
Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project
Liaise with suppliers, installers, and subcontractors
Coordinate site measures, deliveries, and installation schedules
Maintain clear communication between office and factory teams
Documentation & Systems
Maintain accurate project records and job files
Track drawing revisions, approvals, and variations
Ensure all project documentation is complete before production release
Update project management systems and workflow trackers
Procurement & Scheduling Support
Assist with material ordering and lead-time tracking
Coordinate hardware and supplier deliveries
Support production scheduling and installation planning
Ensure required materials and information are available on time
Quality & Completion
Monitor project quality and completion status
Coordinate defect resolution and outstanding items
Ensure client sign-offs and handover documentation are completed
Support continuous improvement of operational systems and workflows
Skills & Experience
Essential
Previous experience in project coordination, administration, or scheduling within the joinery, cabinetry, construction, or manufacturing industry
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to read and understand drawings and project documentation
High attention to detail
Proficient computer and administrative skills
Preferred
Experience in kitchen and wardrobe joinery projects
Knowledge of manufacturing and installation workflows
Experience with project management or workflow software
Understanding of materials, hardware, and production processes
Cabinetmaking or construction industry background
