Your day to day
- Hands on approach ensuring restaurant, bar, events & room service are running smoothly
- Support wider F&B Team with greeting, seating and serving guests in the restaurant & bar, making beverages, taking and delivering Room Service orders, set up and pack down of restaurant, bar and events spaces in a timely manner for each service period.
- Colleagues to follow shift routine checklists, ensure all tasks are completed with accuracy and encourage identification for areas of productivity improvement.
- Ensuring delivery of True Hospitality behaviours are demonstrated by making guests smile and building genuine connections
- Thorough understanding of the breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverage seasonal menus, conference & events packages, including dietaries and allergens
- Complete understanding and implementation of Holiday Inn Brand Standards.
- Represent & participate in any IHG F&B forums, trainings, group calls or similar opportunities
- Encouraging suggestive selling at every opportunity
- Be present at daily shift handover when required and attend weekly BEO meetings facilitated by the Conference & Events Executive
- Schedule and facilitate weekly check-in meetings with Supervisors, Team Leaders and F&B Team Members
- Attend weekly check-in and work in progress meeting with the General Manager
- Responsible for managing F&B colleagues shift rosters as per business levels and preapproved budgets.
- Thorough understanding of F&B Payroll budget, attend weekly Payroll meetings with Finance to manage labour cost and ensure profitable F&B operations
- Analyse guest insights, Medallia scores to identify and meet customer expectations.
- Seek market trends, analyse competition and implement best practises in F&B operations.
- Analyse daily financial and management reports, to understand forward business demands, daily arrivals and explore opportunities to delight our guests.
- Responsible for ensuring all HR matters (including but not limited to disciplinary conversations, performance conversations, recruitment and terminations) are handled professionally, promptly and thoroughly.
- Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities, maintain compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, development, mentoring and retention for the R&B operations.
- Partner with Marketing department to drive F&B promotional & marketing activities.
