Administration Officer
Location: Springwood (primary clinic) with occasional shifts at Greenslopes Hospital.
Position Summary
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in creating a professional, welcoming, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors to the clinic.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and online enquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Process payments through EFTPOS and HICAPS.
- Manage patient records while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist with Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and private health fund administration.
- Maintain clinician schedules and assist with diary management.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with GPs, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Support clinicians with general administrative tasks.
- Assist with social media updates and marketing activities as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous reception or administration experience (healthcare experience preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Proficiency with Cliniko
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude.

Employment Type

- Shifts primarily based at the main clinic, with approximately one shift per fortnight at the Greenslopes location.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
