About the role
HMLN Precision Installations is looking for a reliable and practical Installation Technician to join our growing Canberra team.
You will work alongside an experienced Lead Technician completing commercial furniture installations, office fit-outs, indoor and outdoor sauna installations, gym equipment installations and other specialist assembly projects.
This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in completing jobs properly and wants the opportunity to develop into a senior technician or crew leader as the business expands.
Previous installation experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and practical ability are more important.
Training will be provided for the right person.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble and install commercial office furniture
- Complete indoor and outdoor sauna installations
- Install gym, retail and specialist equipment
- Read basic plans, layouts and installation instructions
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Load, unload and move furniture and equipment
- Protect client property and maintain a clean work area
- Work effectively with other technicians and trades
- Communicate professionally with clients and site contacts
- Complete jobs safely, accurately and efficiently
- Travel to project sites throughout Canberra and surrounding areas What we are looking for
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work
- Practical and confident using basic tools
- Physically capable of lifting and moving furniture and equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Professional presentation and respectful communication
- Willingness to learn different installation systems
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Australian driver licence
- Reliable transport to job sites
- Construction White Card, Asbestos and Silica or willingness to obtain
Experience in furniture installation, shopfitting, construction, carpentry, removals, cabinetmaking, landscaping, mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on role will be highly regarded.

Pay: $25.00 – $45.00 per hour
