About the Role:
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
Responsibilities:
Maintain school buildings, grounds, sporting facilities and equipment to ensure a safe, clean and well-presented environment.
Coordinate minor repairs, preventative maintenance and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
Undertake grounds maintenance, including mowing, gardening, landscaping and waste management.
Support school operations through mail delivery, stock control, event setup, security and general operational duties.
Monitor workplace health and safety, maintain equipment and facilities, and report maintenance or safety issues.
Assist with school security, including locking and unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems.
Provide operational support for school events and undertake other duties as directed, consistent with the role.

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria
