Description:
The role
The Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for training and assessing students enrolled in the Community Services course. This role involves facilitating group sessions in person and online, utilizing pre-built course material to facilitate digital literacy and job searching skills for participants, and working with Indigenous and non-indigenous participants and stakeholders in the education and training sector.
Skills and Experiences:
Skills and experience
- Current and relevant certificates in Training and Assessment and hold certificate qualifications for courses that they are delivering training
- Relevant Certificate III or above Qualification
- Demonstrated Facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients and other professionals from diverse cultures
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Sound administrative skills, attention to detail and commitment to task completion
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite ability to use Chrome books
- Time management and organisational skills
- Understanding of typical barriers faced by unemployed participants, particularly parents returning to the workforce
- Experience in community support, employment services, education or social services
- Current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
- Current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and time management
- Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to Indigenous culture and history
- Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, pressured environment and against tight deadlines
