KT OOSH is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma qualified educator to lead our dedicated Pre K program for children aged 3 to 5 years.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a small group of younger children within our Before and After School Care environment, supporting them as they develop friendships, learn new skills, and transition into school age care through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Permanent Part Time or Casual Pre K Team Leader to support the youngest children attending our service. This role offers an excellent work life balance with morning and afternoon shifts that allow flexibility through the middle of the day.
The Pre K Team Leader will take responsibility for supporting children in the Pre K age group, ensuring they feel safe, supported and confident as they transition into the before and after school care environment through predictable routines, familiar relationships and responsive support. This includes preparing age-appropriate activities and resources, supporting routines such as sign in and sign out, and working alongside educators to create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
This position requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent qualification) in line with the National Quality Framework.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead and support the Pre K group ensuring children's safety, wellbeing, rights, inclusion, and participation remain central to daily practice
· Ensure age-appropriate activities and resources are prepared and accessible
· Support children to express their views, participate in decisions that affect them, and seek help from trusted adults when needed.
· Support the planning and delivery of engaging programs aligned with Early Learning Years Framework
· Support children with routines including sign in and sign out processes
· Model positive practice, support educators working within the group, and contribute to mentoring and guidance where appropriate
· Support active supervision practices that promote safety, independence, and age appropriate skill development
· Assist with daily administration and required documentation
· Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and service policies
· Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and team members
· Maintain active supervision and support safe movement of children across indoor and outdoor environments
· Support children transitioning into school age care through responsive and relationship based practice
· Support child safe practices, professional boundaries, and service expectations at all times
· Identify and respond immediately to child safety, wellbeing, or child protection concerns in line with reporting obligations
· Model positive practice and child safe behaviours to educators working within the group
· Support supervision expectations and educator allocation requirements
· Support implementation of service philosophy, policies, and procedures
· Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with service requirements
· Contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement processes
· Support safe and appropriate use of digital technologies in line with service expectations

· Follow strict privacy and digital device requirements, including no unauthorised use of personal devices in child spaces
· Participate in mandatory child safe training, including child protection and reporting obligations as required by NSW legislation.
· Notify the Approved Provider immediately if their Working With Children Check status changes, including suspension, interim bar, or bar.

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) – required
- Previous experience working with young children or in an education and care setting
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications highly regarded
- Working with Children Check required
- National Police Check required
- Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety, professional boundaries, and respectful practice
- Ability to demonstrate suitability to work with children through recruitment screening and ongoing employment expectations
- Demonstrated understanding of child safe practices, mandatory reporting obligations and professional boundaries when working with children.
