Telecommunications Network Planner – Full Time

About the Position
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Telecommunications Network Planner to join our business on a permanent full-time basis.
This position will be responsible for supporting the planning and coordination of telecommunications network infrastructure projects. The role requires a person who can review project requirements, assist with network planning, prepare technical documentation, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and support the efficient delivery of telecommunications services.
Main Duties
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Assist with planning customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.
- Review network requirements and prepare suitable network planning documentation.
- Assist in preparing technical drawings, plans, reports and project records.
- Assess existing telecommunications systems and identify requirements for new installations, upgrades or modifications.
- Coordinate with field technicians, contractors, suppliers and service providers to support project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and assist in resolving technical or operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records of network equipment, locations, project details and installation information.
- Provide technical support in relation to telecommunications network design, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assist with network performance monitoring and support the identification of faults or service issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements and relevant telecommunications standards.
Required Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- A relevant qualification in telecommunications, networking, engineering, information technology or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in telecommunications network planning, technical support, network infrastructure, field engineering or a similar role.
- Knowledge of telecommunications networks, customer access systems, cabling infrastructure and related equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret and prepare network plans, technical drawings and project documents.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal team members.
- Ability to manage work priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in telecommunications environments.
Pay: $76,000.00 per year
