Role: Senior Property Lawyer

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our leadership team to continue to grow our property practice. We are looking for a Senior Lawyer looking to become one of our Property leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who is ready for the next stage in their career. You will be working within an environment that offers a multitude of services to its clients, providing quality advice and service.
To be considered for this role, you will be a technically savvy and experienced property lawyer. You will possess the ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment, have strong technical and client relationship skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience in local government work would be valued highly but is not essential.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in

leasing including agreements for lease
-
conveyancing
-
options
-
deeds of partition (desirable)
-
acquisitions and disposals
-
contract negotiations and preparation
-
property development
-
property due diligence
-
Stamp Duty, Goods & Services Tax and other property based taxes
-
Land Divisions
-
Local government legislation highly regarded.
Experience in local government work would be valued highly but is not essential.
The successful candidate will need to:

have established property experience

demonstrate the ability to provide commercial and practical advice

have an outgoing personality

be able to work directly with clients and exercise a degree of autonomy

supervise junior staff and report to our leadership team

exercise commercial judgment

be involved in marketing activities

have existing client relationships, although you may not necessarily have your own practice
