Facility Manager – Rackley Swimming Deagon
Rackley Swimming Deagon is seeking an experienced and motivated Facility Manager to lead the operations, people, programs, and customer experience at one of our valued community aquatic facilities.
As part of the City Venue Management (CVM) network, Rackley Swimming Deagon plays an important role in connecting people through swimming, health, recreation, and community engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of facility management.
About the Role
As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the venue, ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational objectives. You will lead a dedicated team while driving participation, community engagement, and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a diverse team across operations, swim school, customer service, and aquatic programs

Oversee the day-to-day management of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patrons

Drive membership, program participation, and swim school growth through exceptional customer service and community engagement

Manage budgets, financial performance, reporting, and operational planning

Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, risk management, and child safeguarding requirements

Maintain high standards of pool plant operations, facility presentation, and asset management

Build strong relationships with local schools, community groups, stakeholders, and customers

Foster a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
About You
You are a proactive and people-focused leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational management. You have a proven ability to lead teams, build community connections, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Experience managing an aquatic, leisure, recreation, or community facility

What You'll Need

Current Swim Teacher and Water Safety qualification

First Aid, CPR and Pool Lifeguard certifications

Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

Pool Plant Operator certification (or willingness to obtain)
