The Business
Patties Foods is a true Australian success story. From humble beginnings as a family-owned cake shop in Lakes Entrance, Victoria in 1966, we have grown into one of Australia's leading manufacturers, suppliers and marketers of branded frozen savoury products, meals and desserts.
Today, our much-loved brands can be found in homes across Australia and increasingly around the world, with exports to Japan and the USA. With manufacturing sites across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and New Zealand, we're continuing to grow while staying true to our values of Courage, Trust, Integrity and Ownership.
Behind every great product is a great team, and we're looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join ours.
Why you’ll love this role
Based at our Perth manufacturing site and reporting to the HR Manager, this is no ordinary HR role. If you love variety, enjoy building relationships, and thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As the HR Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of the action, supporting employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle while helping to create a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace. From coordinating recruitment and onboarding new team members to supporting employee relations, HR projects, and business transformation initiatives, you'll have the chance to make a real impact every day.
This is a hands-on role where you'll partner closely with people across the business, keep HR processes running smoothly, and contribute ideas that help us continually improve. We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, people-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves when needed.
Most importantly, you'll join a supportive team where your ideas are valued, your contribution matters, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to make a real impact across the site.
What you’ll be doing

- Keeping the employee lifecycle running smoothly—from onboarding and contract changes through to internal moves and offboarding
- Preparing contracts, letters and HR documentation
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Providing first-line support for employee questions and HR matters
- Supporting employee relations activities and people initiatives across the site
Recruitment & Talent
- Coordinating recruitment activities from job posting through to onboarding
- Scheduling interviews and helping create a great candidate experience
- Supporting managers throughout the hiring process
- Assisting with recruitment reporting and workforce planning activities
Projects, Systems & Improvement
- Playing a key role in supporting the ongoing implementation and optimisation of Dayforce and other HR systems
- Contributing to HR projects, process improvements and business transformation initiatives
- Finding smarter, more efficient ways of working and helping bring great ideas to life
About You
You're organised, proactive and genuinely enjoy working with people. You can juggle competing priorities, enjoy thriving in a fast paced environment, and you take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
You're equally comfortable handling HR administration, answering employee questions, supporting leaders, and rolling up your sleeves to help wherever needed. You must have full working rights as we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
You’ll bring:
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar HR Coordinator or HR Generalist role
- Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- A flexible, practical and solutions-focused approach
- Flexibility to support the operational needs of a manufacturing environment
- Experience within manufacturing, food manufacturing or industrial environments will be highly regarded but not essential
- Exposure to HRIS platforms and system implementations (such as Dayforce) is advantageous
