GD Building Supplies is one of Brisbane’s fastest-growing building materials suppliers, specialising in tiling, flooring, rendering and general construction materials. We are expanding and now seeking a reliable MR Truck Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our Coopers Plains team.
Role Responsibilities
This is a combined warehouse and delivery role. Daily duties include:
Driving / Delivery Duties:
- Operating an MR truck to deliver building materials to customers and job sites
- Performing safe loading and unloading of materials (up to 25kg per bag)
- Ensuring accurate and timely deliveries
- Completing delivery paperwork, PODs, and basic customer communication
- Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting maintenance issues
- Maintaining a high standard of driving safety and customer service
Warehouse Duties (same as your existing warehouse role):
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders
- Receiving stock and checking delivery manifests
- Manual handling and pallet organisation
- Assisting customers with pickups
- Operating forklifts (if licensed)
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety
- Supporting general store operations
Requirements (Essential):
- Valid MR Licence (minimum requirement)
- Ability to start work every day at 6:00am
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 20–25kg repeatedly
- Own reliable transport (public transport unavailable this early)
- Strong reliability, punctuality and responsibility
- Clean driving record
- Able to navigate Brisbane delivery routes confidently
- Good communication skills
- Can follow procedures and safety guidelines
Highly Desirable:
- Forklift licence
- Experience in building materials delivery
- Warehouse or construction background
- Ability to use load restraints, ratchet straps, and tail lifts safely
- Customer service experience
- Experience operating MR trucks in tight access areas
