About the Role:
As a Category Buyer in Training, you'll gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of the Beauty business. You will:
- Support the development and execution of product strategies aligned to Myer's overall business objectives and customer needs.
- Assist with range selection, order placement, pricing strategies, and financial planning for your category.
- Develop your negotiation skills to help achieve strong commercial outcomes and deliver category targets.
- Build your understanding of category marketing and communications, supporting initiatives that bring our products and brands to life.
- Analyse performance and identify opportunities to drive growth and improve results.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about retail, and ready to take the next step in their career. You will bring:
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen, with an understanding of merchandise processes and retail operations.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and consistently deliver against objectives.
- A proactive approach and confidence working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Well-developed communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organisational capabilities.
- Previous merchandise experience and a genuine interest in developing a career in Buying.
- Knowledge of Myer systems will be highly regarded.
