About the Role
Waurn Ponds Twinklekids Early Learning Centre is looking for a passionate and dedicated Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis.
We are seeking an educator who genuinely enjoys working with children, values teamwork and is committed to providing high-quality education and care.
You will work alongside our Room Leaders, Educational Leader and Centre Director to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child is supported to learn, develop and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality education and care to children in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.
- Build warm, positive and respectful relationships with children and families.
- Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational programs based on children's interests, strengths and individual needs.
- Complete observations, learning documentation and other programming requirements.
- Support children's learning and development in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
- Work collaboratively with Room Leaders, educators and the wider centre team.
- Maintain appropriate supervision of children at all times.
- Support children's health, hygiene, safety and wellbeing throughout the day.
- Contribute to reflective practice and the centre's continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive and well-organised learning environment.
- Follow all centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Actively contribute to a positive and professional team culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- A current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
- A sound understanding of the EYLF, VEYLDF, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A positive, caring and professional approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- Previous experience in an early childhood education and care setting is highly regarded.
