About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Serviceperson to join our team on a 2:2 fulltime permanent roster The role entails all servicing activities covering mobile plant & equipment. The successful candidates will also be required to work closely with the site’s maintenance and mining personnel to ensure maximum plant availability to minimise downtime.
You will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Superintendent, working collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Monitor plant and equipment conditions to ensure correct function.
- Ability to work independently with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Assisting with maintaining and repairing all onsite fixed and mobile plant and equipment.
- Check and maintain correct oil and fuel levels to ensure machinery can run at full potential.
- Assist with daily re-fuelling of large-scale mining equipment including lubricant, oil, and filter inspections.
- Ensure the service vehicle unit is stocked with correct levels of oil/grease/fuel.
- Identify and report any oil/fuel leaks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Be committed to adhering to and promoting a strong safety culture
- Work as an effective member of the Maintenance team, including contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current HR driver’s licence is mandatory
- Previous experience as a Service Person in a mining environment
- RIISAM212D – Service Mine Plant and Equipment highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
