Lead operational excellence across one of Victoria's most progressive councils.
This key leadership role provides strategic direction across operational systems, customer and operations management, service strategy and organisational improvement. Leading three specialist teams, you'll shape how essential services are delivered, drive continuous improvement, strengthen organisational capability and help prepare Council for future digital transformation.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Operations and Waste, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across customer and operations management, systems and data, and service strategy and engagement.
Working across the Operations & Waste and Natural & Civic Spaces departments, you'll lead the development of systems, processes and people capability that improve operational performance, strengthen governance and deliver better outcomes for our community.

- Lead three specialist teams delivering operational support services

Build organisational capability through coaching and leadership

Develop & support operational assurance, governance and performance frameworks

About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience

Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams

Proven success delivering business improvement and organisational change

Strong strategic, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience using systems and data to improve operational performance
