Priding ourselves on being one of Sydney’s most popular Bondi Beach cafes, Gusto Espresso Bar seeks a full-time Cook for our busy café.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Examining produce to ensure quality and storing food in temperature-controlled facilities

· Working with kitchen cooking equipment including regulating ovens and grills.

· Working with the Chef to prepare food on menus.

· Cooking in accordance to set and special event menus.

· Be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

· Seasoning food during cooking, portioning food, presenting food for service, and adding condiments/ sauces

· Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

· May assist with plan menus and estimating food requirements

· Be able to work under high-pressure situations

· May train other kitchen staff and apprentice

Qualifications and Skills of Cook

· A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV OR

· At least 3 years of relevant work experience

· At least 1 year of relevant experience in addition to qualifications

· Commitment and passion for food and quality produce.

· Excellent attention to detail.

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation
