About the role:
This role provides strategic oversight across priority functions, delivering high-quality advice, coordination and governance support that enables informed decision-making and strong organisational outcomes. The role requires sound judgement, strong financial acumen and the ability to build productive relationships across complex with senior stakeholders and external agencies. You will play a key role in identifying emerging issues, strengthening financial governance and supporting the delivery of Victoria Police's strategic and financial priorities.

Your duties will include:
- Provide strategic oversight and coordination across key financial and corporate functions to support the delivery of organisational priorities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies to support collaboration and positive outcomes.
- Monitor emerging issues, risks and opportunities, including those impacting financial management and governance, and provide timely advice to support effective decision-making.
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality briefings, advice and written material on complex, sensitive and strategic financial matters.
- Contribute to strong financial governance, continuous improvement and the effective management of cross-functional work programs and initiatives.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated strong judgement and experience working in complex environments where strategic advice and stakeholder engagement are critical.
- Sound financial knowledge and experience across financial management, governance or assurance, with the ability to apply this to support organisational outcomes.
- Well-developed written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise briefs, correspondence and other material for senior decision-makers.
- Proven ability to build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, supported by a collaborative and professional approach.
- A practical and adaptable mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities, identify emerging issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
