Your Opportunity
As the Manager, Marketing and Sales you will:
Ensure the Region is positioned as a quality provider in education and training, training technologies and training services at a state, national and international level.
This position reports to the Director Human Resources and Marketing.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 22 January 2027 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at TAFE Nambour however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Educational Training and Delivery and Corporate Services teams to maximise market penetration of the TAFE Queensland East Coast region locally, nationally and internationally.
Provide strategic input to the both the General Manager, Executive Directors and other senior managers as applicable regarding the development, implementation and analysis of marketing and branding plans and strategies for the region.
Lead and manage a cohesive, achievement focused Marketing and Sales Division to achieve both regional and work unit objectives.
Manage the budget and work functions for all of the divisional activities including but not limited to communication, international, business development, TAFE in Schools and other industry, research, marketing collateral, marketing distribution channels, advertising and the regional web site.
Prepare and implement the region's Marketing and Sales Divisonal Plan as well as report on marketing and sales activities, budget and performance (return on investment).
Provide clear, strategic and high level evaluation and reporting on emerging trends in key market segments and monitor competitor activity to ensure the region is relevant and achieves sustainable business growth in line with strategic objectives.
Manage the advertising function of the region including the development and implementation of marketing communications schedules in accordance with market demands, sales requirements, branding strategies and budget.
Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency through process improvement and by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes.
Provide leadership on individual and team performance and future goals.
Manage communication and actively engage with industry, business and the community.
Regularly review activities to ensure compliance with work, health and safety legislation and the region's health, safety, wellness and sustainability objectives.
Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Showing Initiative, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Proven high level capacity to develop, implement and monitor effective marketing and branding strategies in a services marketing area.
High level management experience in application of marketing and sales development and revenue generation, and applying results to the establishment and growth of responsive and innovative products and services.
Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving budgets and effectively and efficiently utilising resources.
Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills within a large, complex organisation. Encourages creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship with the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Demonstrated experience in a management role within a services marketing and sales environment as well as a basic understanding of human resource management issues including equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.

Highly Desirable Requirements
A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
