About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to a team of Disability Support Workers, ensuring participants receive safe, high-quality supports that align with their individual goals and the NDIS Practice Standards. You will foster a positive team culture while creating an environment where participants can thrive and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support Disability Support Workers to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
- Promote participant choice, independence, dignity and community inclusion.
- Ensure support plans, behaviour support strategies and individual goals are implemented effectively.
- Oversee the daily operations of the SIL home, including staffing, documentation and household management.
- Maintain compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and quality requirements.
- Monitor incidents, risks, medication management and reporting to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to positive participant outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated leadership experience within disability or community services.
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements (Mandatory):
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- WA Working with Children Check
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Smartphone and ability to use support apps
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certificate III/IV in Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, or related field
- Medication administration training or high-intensity support modules
