Freedom Tyres is seeking reliable & competent Delivery Driver/Warehouse Store Person in a full-time permanent capacity, to join our QLD warehouse team & service the Brisbane market.
Freedom Tyres is a national wholesale tyre distributor proudly supplying a number of well-established & trusted tyre brands across all tyre segments, including passenger, 4WD/SUV, truck, bus, industrial, & earthmover tyres.
The Job:
- Accurately pick & prepare orders, including stacking, wrapping, labelling, & quality checking against order documentation.
- Assist with order dispatch including aggregating consignments for loading of company & subcontractor delivery trucks & vans.
- Arrange & secure cargo for safe & effective transport.
- Carry out tyre deliveries to Brisbane metro & surrounding areas. The delivery tasks are shared amongst the warehouse team.
- Follow all documented POD procedures & return daily POD’s & run sheets.
- Work with the Warehouse Team Leader, to ensure a smooth daily workflow, efficient delivery scheduling & warehouse operations.
- Hand & forklift unloading of incoming stock from vehicles & shipping containers.
- Receipt & check incoming stock (check, sort and put away) including warehouse preparation via forklift prior to stock arrival.
- Follow quality processes & comply with all on site procedures & safety regulations.
- Complete daily checks on all vehicles as required.
The Person:
- A proficient operator of vehicles & warehouse equipment.
- A sound knowledge of Brisbane metropolitan & country areas – desirable
- Experience in warehouse operations & logistics.
- A strong eye for detail, good organisational skills, & an ability to work to a schedule & meet deadlines.
- A high level of integrity, loyalty, & ability to work autonomously on the road.
- A strong focus on customer service & teamwork.
The Requirements:
- Hold & maintain a current passenger vehicle licence.
- Hold a current forklift license - essential.
- Previous warehouse experience - highly desirable.
- Hold & maintain a MR truck licence - highly desirable.
- Previous warehouse experience - highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tyres and the tyre industry - desirable but not essential.
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
