Southport State School P&C Association is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator & Nominated Supervisor to lead our welcoming and high-quality OSHC service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood or school-age care professional to lead a dedicated team, build strong relationships with children and families, and ensure the delivery of a safe, engaging and compliant service.
About the Role
As the OSHC Coordinator & Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the service, including Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
Working closely with the P&C Management Committee, you will oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant workplace legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a team of educators.
- Oversee the daily operation of the OSHC service.
- Act as the Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person.
- Develop and implement engaging educational and recreational programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff and the P&C Committee.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Manage enrolments, attendance records and family communications.
- Maintain accurate documentation and administrative records.
- Coordinate Vacation Care programs, including excursions and risk assessments.
- Manage staff rosters and support recruitment, induction and performance development.
- Oversee service budgets, ordering and resource management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality practice.
About You
You are a confident and approachable leader who enjoys creating positive experiences for children while supporting and developing your team.
You will have:
- Diploma in School Age Education and Care, Children's Services or equivalent (minimum qualification).
- Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated leadership experience within an OSHC, long day care or education setting.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Child Safe Standards.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong administration and computer skills.
- Experience using Xplor management software (highly regarded).
- A collaborative and positive leadership style.

Pay: $37.63 – $43.23 per hour
