Your new role:
As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychology services within innovative, integrated multidisciplinary models of care across Gastroenterology & Hepatology outpatient streams. You'll bring clinical expertise, sound judgement and a commitment to patient-centred care while contributing to the development of services and supporting the growth of less experienced clinicians.
Deliver assessment, intervention and evaluation for patients with complex psychological needs.
Provide clinical advice and contribute actively to multidisciplinary case conferences and team meetings.
Develop and strengthen evidence-based clinical practices, policies and protocols.
Provide supervision, education and support to less experienced clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.
Build effective relationships with patients, carers, health professionals and community organisations to support coordinated care and discharge planning.
About you:
We're looking for an experienced Psychologist who combines strong clinical expertise with excellent communication, leadership and service improvement skills. You'll be confident working independently while contributing positively to a high-functioning interprofessional team.
High-level clinical knowledge and experience delivering psychology services in Gastroenterology & Hepatology or a comparable clinical setting.
Strong assessment, intervention, prioritisation and clinical decision-making skills in complex environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to provide high-level clinical advice and manage conflict effectively.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, educate and support less experienced practitioners and students.
Experience initiating, planning and evaluating quality improvement and/or research initiatives.
Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology endorsement and PsyBA-approved Supervisor status will be highly regarded.

Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Neuropsychologists and Health Psychologists are employed within the Psychology Department, Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation, and within outreach and specialist services including the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service, Transitional Rehabilitation Service, Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit, Rehabilitation In-reach Team, Pathways Team and Persistent Pain Service. They are also integrated into the QEII Hospital and service units and teams within the Metro South Addictions & Mental Health Service and Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Service.
